Yoga Nidra Workshop £10.00
Come back to yourself in this body-mind restoration Yoga Nidra where you can experience the technique in person. Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation that you listen to as you rest in a totally supported posture. This can be lying down or sitting, or reclining. We use lots of cushions, bolsters and blankets to ensure we are fully supported in our posture, so that we can deeply let go at a pace that suits us.
As you rest, ...
Dynamic Yoga Workshops
Dynamic yoga workshops offer a more in depth look at the introductory breathwork, softening effects of yoga posture practise, with a longer than average class time, a deeper relaxation and time for sitting at the end for pranayama in stillness.
Workshops are suitable for anyone. I offer a quiet and gentle retreat away from the daily anxiety, stresses and strains, into a deeper understanding of your body and it's ability to quieten as you release the breath and allow the mind to let go.
Whether this be in your home, garden, place of work or a place you hired, ensure there ...
Daytime yoga classes
We are currently looking for a venue in Allestree. If you know of a large warm room to hire please contact me
If you're looking for daytime yoga classes, our morning class will suit you perfectly. Dynamic yoga is a deeply sensitising practise which brings awareness to the relationship between the body parts as you move gently between postures. All postures are easily adaptable, and the focus is on what you can feel rather than what you can do (or what the mind thinks you can do).
These classes are suitable for any age and any body. Variations are always provided. Anyone ...
Yoga Nidra
We are currently looking for a venue in Allestree for group yoga classes. Please contact me if you are aware of a large warm room locally
Yoga Nidra is loosely translated as 'Yoga-Sleep; since yoga means union of the body-mind, therefore 'union of the body and mind in a deeply relaxed state'. The practise is quite simple. Lying down or sitting supported, so that you can totally relax, all you need to do is listen and feel.
It is a different technique to a meditation, and it is not a trance. You are very safe. You may fall asleep, and although this is not the aim, it can ...
Meditation
There are so many different types of meditation. Some contain movement; some contain stillness. Some have breathing practices; some have visualisations. Some have eyes open, some closed. The common element is focus.
Key benefits of regular meditation include: stress reduction, sleep improvement, sense of wellbeing, less emotional ups and downs, increased resilience, better concentration, clearer thought patterns.
As the mind stills, with regular meditation practice, it is able to recognise when it is wandering, catastrophising and creating drama. At this point we can ...
Foot Massage Workshop
If you're looking for some ideas to pamper your partner, book this foot massage workshop with them and learn great techniques to really revive sore, tired and aching feet. They can learn alongside you, thereby making it more likely your pamper session will be reciprocated.
Imagine your partner could just massage your feet properly at the end of a long day. If you get a 'half-hearted' foot rub (if it can be even called that!) and wish they knew how to ease your aching feet & legs, and help you unwind?
Do you often massage your partner's feet but get stuck on the same ...
EFT (emotional freedom techniques)
Imagine having a personalised toolbox for dealing with stressful situations at the touch of your finger... well you have! I will show you how to overcome issues you are experiencing or have experienced, or even are yet afraid to experience. The world of 'tapping' is at your fingertips.
Tapping, or Emotional Freedom Techniques consists of tapping on your face and upper body whilst repeating parts of a previously coined 'set-up' statement. Tapping points are pre-set and tapped in a specific order, to stimulate the meridians and allow the issue to be released or challenged, ...
Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
You may have heard people talking about this complementary therapy, but actually are unsure what is reflexology. I will attempt to describe it for you here. Reflexology is a special kind of massage on the feet, hands or face.
Points and areas are pressed and gently held or 'finger-walked' to balance and soothe the body. This brings about a deep state of relaxation and encourages homoeostasis. I work with a gentle, but not light, pressure, which can also vary as I move around your feet.
Over 7000 nerve endings are in the feet alone. Based on ...

Hot Stone Reflexology
As you would expect, hot stone reflexology utilises the stones to bring warmth and a touch of luxury to your reflexology treatment. Stones are pre-warmed in my special hot stones bag, and the larger ones are placed behind your knees and ankles, smaller ones placed between the toes as I carry out your truly relaxing reflexology with medium sized stones. If you're really feeling the chill, stones may be wrapped and placed behind the shoulders to help you relax.
This type of reflexology is perfect as a gift to a loved one who you have no idea what to buy for, or as a gift to ...
