Dynamic Yoga Workshops

Dynamic yoga workshops offer a more in depth look at the softening effects of yoga posture practise, with a longer than average class time, a deeper relaxation and time for sitting at the end for pranayama in stillness. Herbal tea follows... Workshops are suitable for anyone. With a maximum of five participants, I offer a quiet and gentle retreat away from the daily anxiety, stresses and strains, into a deeper understanding of your body and it's ability to quieten as you release the breath and allow the mind to let go. Dynamic yoga workshops are similar in instruction to the bi-weekly dynamic yoga classes taught at Maxwell Park Community ...

Reflexology

What is Reflexology? Working on the feet, hands or face, reflex points are pressed and gently stimulated to balance and soothe the body. This brings about a deep state of relaxation and encouraging homoeostasis. The therapy is based on the principle that the feet, face and hands contain 'mini-maps' of the whole body and that by applying pressure using the fingers or thumbs a reflexologist can have a positive effect on the corresponding parts of the body. Sensitive, trained hands may detect changes, which could be interpreted as imbalances in the body. By working on these points the reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of ...

Crystal reflexology

Crystal reflexology uses the actual crystals to perform the reflexology. I also place certain crystals on or around your body, if appropriate. These crystals are formed in the earth. They are mined in various countries and can be rough or smooth, from different levels within the ground. As such each one vibrates at it's own unique frequency. Often we are drawn to certain crystals, and we don't know why, although if we were to hold a selected crystal a while we could ascertain feelings and thoughts as to what it means for us. This may be completely different to how another person reacts to the same crystal. As such I will present you with a number ...

Ear candling

Ear candling is a wonderfully soothing therapy, which works using hollow candles made from natural products such as bees wax, honey and herbs. I use traditional Hopi™ earcandles by Biosun which are premium quality and use organic untreated cotton. As you relax, I check the positioning of the candle for comfort, then remove it, light it and re-insert into the ear canal just a few millimetres. This allows for a chimney effect of drawing warm air down into the ear. It is a very pleasant feeling and can be helpful for excessive earwax, clogged ears, ‘glue ear’, ear ache, snoring, sinusitis, headaches, migraines, sore throats, irritation in the ...
