Yoga Nidra Workshop £10.00
Come back to yourself in this body-mind restoration Yoga Nidra where you can experience the technique in person. Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation that you listen to as you rest in a totally supported posture. This can be lying down or sitting, or reclining. We use lots of cushions, bolsters and blankets to ensure we are fully supported in our posture, so that we can deeply let go at a pace that suits us.
As you rest, you will be guided into a ...
Overwhelm? 5 steps towards re-balance.
Are you overwhelmed? Are you interested in a FREE ten minute meditation you can listen to, to help you re-connect and gain perpective? Read on... Sometimes we all have 'off' days. Sometimes it lasts longer than that. Something just doesn't feel quite right and we reach a state of overwhelm... our mind doesn't want to stop thinking, and ironically it stops our thoughts from being clear. Energy levels drop and lethargy and procrastination win us over.
But we must keep going! It's not as simple as retreating into our shell until we recover... There is work to do, maybe ...
Doing yoga
So, you might ask what does 'doing yoga' consist of? What do we actually do within a class? As a beginner, will I be able to 'do it' at all? Perhaps you have been to many yoga classes, or done many home videos. Why is dynamic yoga any different?
In dynamic yoga we use repetitive actions to awaken the deep sensitivity within the body; to be open to sensation as it happens and to lengthen and broaden the body, creating space and openness within the bodymind. There shouldn't be any expectations, although flexibility and strength often occur as a natural by-product of this ...
Daytime yoga classes
**CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING**
Thursday mornings 9.30-10.30am
If you're looking for daytime yoga classes, our morning class will suit you perfectly. Dynamic yoga is a deeply sensitising practise which brings awareness to the relationship between the body parts as you move gently between postures. All postures are easily adaptable, and the focus is on what you can feel rather than what you can do (or what the mind thinks you can do).
Maximum of four students in this class only.
You can see a short practise demonstration here, though without instruction.
These ...
Hypnotherapy for Relaxation in Childbirth
Hypnotherapy for relaxation in Childbirth is very popular right now. I would love to train in this, but I haven't yet, so here is a place you can download some relaxing hypnobirthing mp3's. These complement pregnancy yoga really well, and I would encourage you to listen to them as much as you can. It does take you to a different website so please remember I am not responsible for the third party website and whatever else you click on.

Reflexology for Students
With revision and exam periods, stress levels rise. Overwhelm can take over and cause many students to worry too much. It's a good time to make sure you are in the right frame of mind to study by supporting yourself with reflexology for students.
During a reflexology for students session the body relaxes deeply. There is time and space to think clearly, perhaps working out revision strategies or just allowing the mind to be free of everything for an hour. Letting go and allowing the body and brain a period of no demands can be just the right thing to get you through the ...

Herbal Eye Pillows
A herbal eye pillow is very relaxing placed over the eyes or next to the face as you relax. They are made using high quality herbs and linseeds or rice, which are stitched into a lining inside the pillowcase, ensuring that no filling escapes. They are made to order, using quality fabrics in a broad range of styles and colours, to suit everyone. Approximate size is 23cm x 8cm. Approximate weight 70g.
I have formulated 5 separate herbal mixes for you to choose from (please scroll to the bottom of this page for details), but with discussion I am able to adapt or even ...
Partner pregnancy yoga class with labour and birth preparation
Private partner pregnancy yoga class with labour and birth preparation includes time exploring yoga postures to connect with the breath and our birthing partners, to feel (as pregnant women) fully supported, and (as partners) empowered with knowledge of techniques to offer/ receive that support, as needed.
Movements to support optimum foetal positioning are practised, and there are tips to encourage labour to begin if baby is ready. If labour has started, or waters have broken, and nothing appears to be happening afterwards, it could take some simple positioning exercises ...
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is loosely translated as 'Yoga-Sleep; since yoga means union of the body-mind, therefore 'union of the body and mind in a deeply relaxed state'. The practise is quite simple. Lying down or sitting supported, so that you can totally relax, all you need to do is listen and feel. It is a different technique to a meditation, and it is not a trance. You are very safe. You may fall asleep, and although this is not the aim, it can be what is needed for you so don't worry too much.
The practice of yoga and deep relaxation has been found to reduce anxieties and ...
