Reflexology Lymph Drainage
The award winning technique, Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD), is bringing relief to lymphoedema patients everywhere. RLD is researched and developed by Sally Kay, and is being taught to reflexologists all over the world.
As the lymphatic reflexes are stimulated in the feet, we aim to cause an effect within the lymphatic system in the body. Swelling can be reduced within the affected arm(s) hands, feet and legs, and this may bring significant relief to sufferers of this often painful, movement limiting condition.
Results are on a par with manual lymphatic drainage, but the main difference is that with RLD the client is relaxing deeply, and even sleeping, while the treatment is taking place.
RLD is totally non-invasive (only shoes and socks are removed) and with measurable results if required (although feeling and seeing is believing!).

Clients get relief from the pressure of excess lymphatic fluid in the limbs, mainly arms but also legs, from the very first treatment.
Studies have shown that with repeated treatments of Reflexology Lymph Drainage, the fluid build up doesn’t return to the initial maximum level experienced by the client. Furthermore the reduction is progressive with each subsequent treatment.
The results of each treatment will be individual to the person receiving it and can also vary with each treatment, however as much as 300ml has been measured to be reduced in the limb. This is almost is the equivalent of a small bottle of water.
An initial six-week schedule is planned. Follow up sessions will be as and when required, which will depend on you as an individual. Some clients take regular monthly treatments as maintenance, whereas others prefer to have one-off sessions when they feel it is necessary.
